Kosanro

It was February, and time for my yearly trip to Nagasaki. That's not actually a thing I do, but since I went for the first time last February, maybe this is the beginning of a tradition.

二月になったので毎年の長崎旅行に行きました。毎年ほんまに行っているわけじゃありませんけど、去年にも行ったので毎年行くかな。

And of course chanpon. Last time I stopped at a random chanpon shop because the ones I wanted to visit were busy, but this time we were able to make it. Kosanro, a restaurant in the heart of Nagasaki's Chinatown.

当然チャンポンも食べなあかん。前回行きたい場所が忙しかったので適当にどっかに行きましたけど、今回行けました。長崎の中華街の中心にある江山楼に行きました。

The Bowl
Just like my other experiences with chanpon, Kosanro's was a viscous stew of fish, held back just enough to be drinkable. The noodles wrapped around the myriad toppings and covered them all in the goop. There was squid, fishcakes, cabbage, sprouts, and my personal favorite, brown fish meatball that tasted like condensed gyoza meat dropped right in the middle.

前チャンポンと同じように、スープがドロドロな魚介系のソースでした。味が強かったですけど、ぜんぜん飲めました。麺がいろんな具を絡んで、スープとの味になりました。いか、なると、キャベツ、もやしをはじめ、好きな餃子の肉っぽい魚玉が真ん中に乗っていました。

Would I Go Again?
It was good, but I will keep trying new places if I visit Nagasaki again.

おいしかったですけど、また長崎に行ったら、新しい店に行ってみます。

Yeah, this was some high quality chanpon.
