Menya Mon

Menya Mon is a ramen shop right in the heart of Ame Mura, offering shoyu and shio chicken ramen. I gave the shoyu a try.

アメ村の中心に「麵屋 問」がいろいろな鶏白湯を提供しています。醤油を頼んでみました。

The Bowl
The first couple sips of the soup brought a syrupy chicken goodness, along with some light-yellow noodles. A few more sips, though, and the salt overtook many of the other flavors. The slices of alternating light and dark chicken were a highlight, but overall the salt hid the bet parts of this bowl.

最初の一口で、とろーっとした鶏の味が出て、麺硬めの麺と一緒に食べてうまかったです。でも、だんだん食べると、しょっぱくなりました。白目と黒目の鶏チャーシューが面白かったです。最終的に美味しかったですけど、塩分をちょっと抑えたかったです。

Shiru Soba Dokoro Choboichi

Nothing makes a better late night in Kobe than a late night bowl of red hot chicken ramen.

神戸のオールしたら、〆辛いラーメンが最高。

The Bowl
Thick, syrupy broth; smoky and mostly the flavor of ra-yu. The noodles were thin and made themselves ra-yu flavored, too, as they were pulled from the viscous mixture. Not a bowl I want every day, but one I was perfectly happy with then.

ドロっとしたスモーキーラー油が効いているスープでした。麺もスープを触れた瞬間に主にラー油になりました。毎日食べれるラーメンじゃありませんけど、その時にうれしかったです。
